Silver Gull Outdoors is a family owned outfitter. Our professional experience grew from outdoor activities, expeditions, and joining communities across Canada, coast to coast to coast. We aspire to be the most welcoming outdoor experience operation. We love introducing new adventurers to the waters and lands that we call home in Muskoka Ontario and beyond. Sharing paddling, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing and backcountry camping experiences in all seasons is our passion. We do what we can to make these activities financially, emotionally and physically accessible to reduce barriers. Join us, because you belong in the Canadian outdoors too.

Acknowledgement
We respectfully acknowledge that we live, play and make business upon the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe people, specifically the Chippewas of Rama First Nation under the Williams Treaties of 1923. These lands, and waters, have been cared for by Indigenous peoples for countless generations.
We give thanks for the abundance this land and these waters provide. We recognize the deep connection the Anishinaabeg people have maintained with this place, a connection rooted in respect, reciprocity, and profound knowledge.

As we enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of Muskoka, let us also acknowledge the history and ongoing presence of the Indigenous peoples who are the original stewards of this land and water. Let us commit ourselves to learning, understanding, and working towards a future built on respect, reconciliation, and the honouring of Indigenous rights, leadership and ways of being. May we acknowledge, appreciate and protect this precious place, the land and the waters of Muskoka, with gratitude and humility.

From the lands, waters and Indigenous cultures themselves knowledge and technologies have been used, appreciated, appropriated, and now accepted as common. The business of outdoor recreation utilizes indigenous technologies such as canoes, kayaks, sleds & snowshoes to help people reconnect with the land. Silver Gull Outdoors is no different. We rely on traditional knowledge and equipment that has been passed down as well as modern awareness, research and innovation to do our activities in the safest most meaningful ways possible. To disregard the indigenous engineers who perfected these technologies would be a colonial act of erasure.
